Top Four Blogging Websites

Anyone interested in blogging has probably decided to start with a free blogging platform and see how that goes. Often, this ends up being a waste of time because the blogger takes very little time to understand the ins-and-outs of how to optimize and market their blog. Luckily, a lot of these free blogging sites make it very easy to incorporate SEO, add photos and videos, and track who is viewing your blog. Some of these features may cost a bit more later, but many are free and you just have to do a bit of research to fully utilize them. Here are the top 4 blogging websites for newcomers:

1. Tumblr.com – This site is perfect for newcomers just trying to share ideas. Most Tumblr accounts are limited to photos, short snippets of text and short videos. If you have a lot to say or share visually, Tumblr is not for you, but it works very well for the fast-paced, quick fix world.

2. Blogspot.com – Blogspot is great because it walks you through the process and sends reminder emails when you haven’t been regularly posing. This way, it keeps you on track. Also, their themes are very user-friendly and for a new blogger, it is extremely efficient.

3. Blogger.com – Blogger is similar to blogspot, very user-friendly and well known. As with all the others though, if your blog becomes much bigger than it will probably be a great idea to buy the domain to remove the “.blogger” or “.blogspot.”

4. WordPress.com – WordPress is my personal favorite. Maybe because it’s the platform I work with, and I personally feel it’s so simple to use. However, I really think this is the best platform for a blogger. So much of it is similar to how you would format a Word document. So, if you know how to use Word, WordPress is so much easier to understand and work with.
